Be aware that Twitter, etc. Thank A TripAdvisor Member. Good service but expensive. Especially when I am not that good with Italian tax code and Rules of commerce and I'll have to explain to them how should they issue me a fiscal receipt. Do not post your Bitcoin address unless someone explicitly asks you to. Tripadvisor is nothing to measure a good resto in Paris by, you should know that
Unfortunately the food tasted reheated and certainly not representative of Tuscany, or the price we osteria I know this restaurant: Why don't you try to use Coinmap https: Does this place accept credit cards? Bitcoin sucks for travel unless your idea olio fun is price things to do, places to go, hotels to stay at, restaurants to eat eat, museums to go to, and so on based on what currency they accept. Map updates are paused. So what's the price cutoff for "large purchase" dell who exactly bitcoin to make that distinction?
We really enjoyed our time here. First night, we arrived in Florence late and showed up here 10minutes before they closed. We were greeted by Nico who said no problem and said that the kitchen would stay open as long as we were there.

Its not only for US. Bitcoin is the best currency for tourists and to travel I'm soon going to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world: I'll come with Euro cash money, and you'll arrive with Bitcoin.
Let's see who's first completed the following touristy things to do:. Almost everybody in the world knows Bitcoin is almost illegal in Thailand. I'll accept the challenge for any other country. Say, Philippines, which is supposed to be a poster child for BTC adoption. I assume you're trolling, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt once.
Because virtually nobody accepts it, and the last thing I want to do while traveling is worry about something as mundane as paying. Change my home currency to whatever currency the country I'm in uses for small incidentals, and then credit card the rest of the time. Why don't you try to use Coinmap https: Why don't you make a donation in Bitcoins to Burning man to find your real karma? I do appreciate Bitcoin, and own a substantial amount. This is a sub about Bitcoin however, not about just pumping Bitcoin.
Bitcoin sucks for travel unless your idea of fun is picking things to do, places to go, hotels to stay at, restaurants to eat eat, museums to go to, and so on based on what currency they accept. I can't imagine anything lamer or more irritating when I'm traveling, either for business or pleasure. If a currency actually makes my life -less- convenient, I'm not going to use it for that purpose. Maybe someday global retail acceptance of bitcoin will be a thing, but that day is a long time in the future, if ever.
I'm certainly not pinning my hopes for Bitcoin on retail though. Ok, please show me a good pizza place in central Florence on this coinmap, thank you. Pasta will do too by the way.
It was a Bitcoin enthusiast who asked to il Bugigattolo to accept Bitcoins months before I usually don't have much time when I am travelling to walk around restaraunts asking them to take my unconventional money. Especially when I am not that good with Italian tax code and Rules of commerce and I'll have to explain to them how should they issue me a fiscal receipt. And then again I am not that good with regulation to explain the same to a Finance Guard officer. Personally I prefer to pick a good place on Yelp or Foursquare, sit at a table, order my food and enjoy it without having a lengthy discussion with a manager.
So where is that one good restaraunt in Florence I should wander into with my best currency for travel? Too much easy http: Of course, Bitcoin in its infancy is hardly accepted internationally; with mass adoption that can change. I assume you're trolling? Sure, it can and maybe it will. But it hasn't changed yet. Yes Poupoule, it was 9 months ago.
Ouai, bof, faut voir Tripadvisor is nothing to measure a good resto in Paris by, you should know that I have walked by the Il Bugigattolo many times and the food on peoples plates didnt inspire me at all.
I have brought many reputable food critics to Il Brigante and they all loved il Brigante pizzas, they are quite slow in their kitchen and you have to wait, but it is worth it to me. My heritage is southern Italian and I know what good pizza is I am very glad to hear that Il Bugigattolo accepts Bitcoin, I carry at least 1 Bitcoin with me on my phone so I would use Bitcoin to pay for food Because it's new for Bitcoin.
They are listed in the site from today only If you're not being hyper-optimistic and positive about everything Bitcoin, you'll get downvoted. Because everybody's so insecure about the future of bitcoin.
I have eaten at this place months ago lured in by their "Bitcoin Accepted" insignia they're not new to btc. As an Italian I can vouch for their very decent pizza even if "Il Brigante", a block down the street, will bring a whole other game to the table for the same price.
So pay at the start of the meal and maybe your payment will post before you leave? What if you want to order something extra? I know this restaurant: Don't miss a visit They accept Bitcoins. And if you're left hungry, the bar next door has some pretty good cocktails and insect platters!
This is NOT good. It's a very frivolous use of the Blockchain, but even worse than that, it's sending the wrong message to the world. Direct adoption from merchants is, truly, a blight on the Blockchain. Hopefully, as transaction volumes increase albeit slowly such a use will become, functionally, as absurd as it is wasteful.
